Here is a great video that explains how to get through burn-out. We often turn to ourselves to get through burn-out (self-care), but these brilliant academics are pointing out that the solution is kindness to one another. This is another bit of evidence that many of the antiquated, super hierarchical, "you come to work just to work", un-empathetic workplaces actually hurt people which, in the end, also harms performance. We should be prioritizing people first and performance/profits second, but let's still use information like this to help companies understand the value behind treating people well.
